The Goat in 2027
The Flow of the Jeong-mi Year
For the Goat, the 2027 Jeong-mi year is a Bogeum (伏吟) year when its own branch Mi (未) comes round again. As the same earth overlaps and thickens, past scenes repeat, and you get to give the answer you could not give back then.
The Jeong-mi year’s branch and the Goat’s branch are the same Mi (未). Such a year, when your own character returns intact, is called Bogeum (伏吟), and it is read as a flow of retracing the road you walked rather than making a new one. With earth added to earth, your foundation at least grows thick.
Bogeum brings boredom and opportunity in one box. Unfinished work, relationships where you put off answering and plans in a drawer return in similar forms. In 2027 the Goat is tested on whether to make the same choice as before or write a different answer this time.
2027 is the Goat’s year. Is it a good year or a hard year for the Goat?
It is more accurate to see it as a “year of repetition” than to sort it into good or bad. What went smoothly keeps going smoothly, and homework you put off comes back. Finish one task you have held for long in the Jeong-mi year, and the repeating loop breaks there, and the Goat’s flow the following year changes visibly.

Scenes like déjà vu unfold
In a Bogeum year, scenes you have seen before are screened again instead of unfamiliar events. This year the Goat may hear from a former workplace, return to a neighbourhood it once lived in, or get involved again in a field it let go. Before grabbing it gladly, first write in your notes why you left back then.
The fire of Jeong (丁) heats the earth of Mi (未), so the inside is hotter than the outside. Amid a quiet daily life, only the mind easily grows impatient. So before sleep, the Goat should record what it finished today in three lines. Visible progress relieves much of the anxiety.
Refining rather than widening
In a year when the same energy overlaps, money comes from refining rather than a new board. This year the Goat profits when it adjusts its price list and sorts out the order of work rather than switching industries. Pile up small improvements steadily, and the numbers prove it in the year-end accounts.
On the spending side, bills you had put off raise their heads again. Unavoidable items like repair costs, medical bills and renewal fees may crowd in. Set up a separate emergency fund account in the first half and you will feel secure.
Old names come back
Longed-for faces reappearing is also a regular scene of this year. This year the Goat may get a message from a name it had forgotten for a while. Some ties are good to continue again, but in some the reason they broke off still remains. Judge by the person as they are now rather than by memories.
With the person beside you now, it is easy to repeat the same argument for the same reason. To change the flow, try changing one reaction of your own rather than trying to fix the other. A repeating pattern is broken by whoever moves differently first.
Caring for your mind when things seem stalled
A regular worry of a Bogeum year is the frustration of “it feels like only I am standing still.” This year the Goat easily runs itself down by comparing itself with others on social media. At such times, set aside big goals, choose small things you can finish within a month and mark them done one by one.
With earth (土) overlapping, the stomach and bowels weaken, and petty worries may disturb your sleep. For the tender-hearted Goat, the simple principle of eating breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same times works surprisingly well. This year, setting the body’s clock is the same as steadying the mind.

The stems, branches and the harmony, clash, punishment, harm and break marks above are calculated from the perpetual calendar. A sign reading looks only at the one branch of your birth year, so the result can differ from a Saju reading, which also looks at the month, day and hour.
