A time when you each grow sure of the other’s feelings. The answer you were waiting for comes to a confession, or you are introduced as a couple in front of friends and the relationship gets a name. The one who poured in care for a long time may hear thanks from the other. While your confidence is up, be generous with affection too.
Six of Wands: Card Meaning
Reading It Upright and Reversed
Six of Wands · Minor Arcana · Wands · Six
In the Six of Wands, a rider wearing a victor’s laurel passes through an applauding crowd. Upright, it tells of a period when work you did quietly is finally recognized publicly, and thanks to that the next task flows smoothly too.
A crown woven of laurel leaves rests on the rider’s head, and the same wreath hangs from the end of the staff he holds. The horse is draped in green cloth, and the people walking alongside each hold a staff. All five stand straight, pointing to the sky.
The staffs that crossed every which way in the card just before have lined up in this one. It tells us the contest is over and the winner decided. What to notice is the rider’s pace. He does not ride ahead alone but matches the stride of the procession on foot. The picture hints that applause only rings out when someone is by your side.
I drew the Six of Wands, but the results have not been announced yet. Can I hope?
This card often shows up when the contest has already been decided and only the notice is awaited. The rider in the picture is on his way back from the match, too. So rather than trying to change the result, it is better to be ready to move straight to the next stage when the news arrives. But recognition does not always find you on its own, so it helps to briefly tell the people who need to hear how far you have come.
Six of Wands: Love
You may feel empty because the response does not match the care you poured in. Mostly it is not cooling feelings but clumsiness at expressing them or being chased by busyness. Rather than keeping a silent tally of disappointment, tell them honestly once what kind of response you hope for. Once they know, it changes quickly.
Six of Wands: Money
A flow where a price tag gets attached to the results you have produced. Effort comes back as numbers, like a performance bonus, a signed contract or a higher rate. New requests may come in by word of mouth, too. Tie up some of this income as seed money for your next challenge, and you can ride the current wind once more.
The promised share is smaller than expected or the payment date keeps slipping. The work is all done, but only the settlement is up in the air. Rather than raising your voice, first send material setting out what you did and how much. A request backed by grounds is usually accepted, even if late.
Six of Wands: Work
Praise pours in for your work and your name becomes known. A presentation may end in applause, or your boss may praise you publicly in a meeting. Offers to recruit you or collaborate that arrive around now tend to come with generous terms, so look at them quickly. Making clear what the colleagues who ran with you contributed makes the next collaboration easier.
The result of your effort is quietly buried or passed off as someone else’s achievement. A promotion or transfer may also be postponed once. If you just swallow the unfairness, similar things repeat, so start now the habit of recording your workflow by date. If you ever need to prove something later, those notes are your strongest support.

Six of Wands Upright
Efforts that went unseen finally get a name tag. A message of acceptance, an award, a personnel announcement or a review full of stars: the result is confirmed in someone else’s voice. That is different from feeling proud on your own. The focus of this card is the moment your own assessment and the outside assessment match, the scene where an achievement you held inside walks out into the world.
Momentum once gained carries you on to the next step. The same proposal is approved faster, and more people reach out first. Now is not the time to shrink back but a good time to bring out the requests and proposals tucked in your drawer. But just as the rider in the saddle keeps pace with the procession, be sure to name the colleagues who built the result with you. That is how the fair wind keeps blowing.
Six of Wands Reversed
In the reversed Six of Wands, the stage lights are off. You finished the project, but someone else’s name goes on the report, and even the congratulations pass quietly. That does not mean recognition has vanished; it is more accurate to see it as a delayed delivery. If you only feel hurt inside, even your next result blurs, so start by writing down what you achieved along with the dates.
Leaning too long on past glory also comes up here. You keep bringing up old achievements and push new tasks the same way you did then, and things creak. If you do not get off the saddle, you cannot walk the next road. Rather than savouring the applause, it is time to check again whether that secret still fits this round.
Something to Try the Day This Card Appears
Today, write down just three things you finished in the last three months. It is not a list for showing off but a list for confirming with your own eyes. Once written, at least one of them will look like news worth telling someone right now. Only achievements that reach the world open the next door.
