In love, something that was hidden comes to light and turns the relationship over. A talk put off for a long time may explode at an unexpected moment. It shakes things hard, but no small number of couples become more honest after this crisis, so rather than reaching a verdict right away, spend your time going over the facts one by one.
The Tower: Card Meaning
Reading It Upright and Reversed
The Tower · Major Arcana No. XVI
The Tower shows a tower whose roof has been blown off by lightning. Upright, it speaks of an upheaval in which a long-warped structure collapses at once and hidden facts come out, together with the process of rebuilding on the rubble.
The tower in card 16 stands atop a sheer rock. When lightning strikes the top, the crown-shaped roof flies off and flames burst out of the windows. Two figures fall headfirst, and sparks scatter in every direction across the black sky.
It was a building raised with great care over a long time, but its foundation was only a narrow rock. Although the lightning struck from outside, the reason it fell was within. What this card focuses on is not the sudden event, but the moment a frame that was already warped finally shows itself.
I drew the Tower card. What will happen?
There is no need to fear it as a warning of disaster. What this card mainly points to is a long-warped structure reaching its limit and rising to the surface. It takes many forms, such as moving house, leaving a job, ending some relationships or something hidden becoming known. The preparation worth making right now is simply gathering important documents and setting aside emergency money separately.
The Tower: Love
On the verge of exploding, yet quiet on the surface. Both of you carefully skirt sensitive topics and smooth over only the surface. If this goes on long, tension instead of love ends up holding you together. Pick a comfortable time and place and bring things up one at a time, and quite a few turn out to be smaller than you thought.
The Tower: Money
On the money side, an unexpected bill or contract dispute sends your plans swinging. Urgent repair costs, penalties or late fees you only just found out about are common forms. First check how much you can raise right now and decide the order of repayment. Once past the crisis, it becomes a chance to fix sloppy money habits.
You keep putting things off because looking at the numbers is frightening. The longer you delay checking your balance, due dates and insurance terms, the more the burden grows. Pick one day and spread every bill and contract across your desk, and it is usually better than the worst case in your head. Once you know the real size, the order of what to do falls into place too.
The Tower: Work
At the company, the board itself changes, as with a restructuring, a change of who is in charge or a contract ending. Even if it is not your fault, you take the impact along with everyone else. At such times, carefully organizing your materials and work records is the most practical preparation. Once the commotion settles, the good positions tend to go to those who prepared in advance.
You are the only one who has noticed signs of collapse. If you cover it up, thinking speaking up is useless, you only end up carrying the blame later. Recording it in an email, however brief, and sharing it with the people involved lets you protect your position if things go wrong. Preparing and being frightened are clearly different things.

The Tower Upright
The upright Tower may look like something that came out of nowhere, but looking back, the warning lights often flashed a few times. A line of a contract you skimmed, a lie you pretended not to notice again and again, repairs you kept putting off all arrive at once as a cost. Before putting out the urgent fire, first check what has collapsed and how far. Only when you know the extent of the damage can you see your next move.
The exposed truth is hardly welcome, but it is actually easier to act on than when you were holding on without knowing. Where the tower fell, solid rock remains, and you can choose whether to rebuild there or look for other ground. This week, rather than a grand plan, changing your passwords, checking your accounts and contacting the people you need to tell is about right.
The Tower Reversed
The reversed Tower shows a collapse put off for a while. The trouble has not gone away; it simply has not burst yet. On the surface things run fine, but one person on the ground has noticed a crack and has been patching it with stopgaps. The skill in holding out is remarkable, but its cost is quietly leaking away every month too.
Cracking from the inside also belongs to this side. Whether at home or at a company, while the outward shape is kept up, each member is already doing their own sums. At such times, whoever speaks up first gets hurt less. If you note in advance when and what to sort out first, you can respond much more calmly even after things blow up.
Something to Try the Day This Card Appears
Fold a sheet of paper in half and write on one side what you could rebuild even if lost, and on the other what you will protect to the end. Check your home, living costs and health first, and you can see that the rest can be regained. This one sheet noticeably lightens this week’s worries.
