The person who expresses their feelings first sets the direction. If you have only been reading the other person’s signals, the Magician says it is time to stop waiting. Clear action, like asking to meet and setting a date, turns a flutter into a real relationship. If you are already together, it is a good time to bring up the talk you have been holding back.
A hand where every skill comes together

The Magician: Card Meaning
Reading It Upright and Reversed
The Magician · Major Arcana No. I
The Magician shows a figure at a table set with four tools, one hand raised to the sky and the other pointing to the earth. Upright, it marks the moment when scattered skills and willpower gather in one place and things actually start moving.
On the table lie a wand, a cup, a sword and a coin, neatly arranged. All four suits of the deck are gathered in front of one person, yet he holds none of them, only the wand raised high in his right hand. Above his head hangs a looping symbol that never ends.
The hand reaching up and the hand pointing down show the path an idea takes from the mind into the real world. His power is not a trick that pulls something out of nothing. It is the craft of moving, shaping and finishing the materials already in his hands. The red roses at his feet stand for desire and the white lilies for a clean intention, telling us that this craft grows from both roots.
If the Magician comes up, is it fine to start something right away
It is closer to meaning that the conditions to start are in place. Still, what the Magician shows is only the materials on the table, not a finished object. So the excuses for waiting are gone, but how far you get after starting depends on how busily you work. Trying the first step yourself fits this card better than polishing the plan further.
The Magician: Love
Upright
Reversed
Trying hard to look good buries your real feelings. Playing a version of yourself that fits their taste may win approval, but it will not deepen things. They may also be showing only a polished face, so the two of you know less about each other than you think. One honest, unvarnished conversation is what is needed.
The Magician: Money
Upright
A good time to open a new channel for income. Putting a price on a skill and offering it, or growing one side branch from your current work, suits you well. Rather than a lump sum arriving at once, picture a first small deal being made, and that first deal becoming the stepping stone to the next.
Reversed
Your numbers are more generous than reality. The habit of counting money owed to you carefully while waving through what you spend comes back as a loss this time. If someone promises to grow your money quickly, check the basis of those numbers yourself. Reading the contract terms and the fee lines to the very end is your strongest shield.
The Magician: Work
Upright
Your own judgment carries weight in your work right now. Instead of waiting for instructions, put a method forward and it will be adopted. You are well suited to coordinating between several teams. If a new role or a move is being discussed, the experience you have built backs you up completely.
Reversed
Your words run ahead of your ability, and what you must answer for grows. The schedule you promised may not match the amount of work required. If you scale back the scope and announce it now, trust stays intact, but confessing when the deadline is right in front of you makes it hard to recover. Start by counting the days you have left.

The Magician Upright
Will · beginnings · talent gathered at your fingertips
The upright Magician says that what you need is already within reach. Knowledge you have built up, people you know and skills that have become second nature, each lying in its own place, now gather into a single point. The time you spent trying a little of everything was not wasted, and now is a good moment to weave those pieces into one task and take the first step.
This card points to a beginning, not a harvest. Rather than promising a finished result, it signals that if you put your hand to it now, it will roll. Making the call you have put off, writing out the plan that only has a title, getting a real quote on the price: that is the beginning. Progress comes honestly, step for step with what you actually do.
The Magician Reversed
Misused skill · self-deception · lack of preparation
Reversed, the same talent loses its way. The words are still smooth, but the substance behind them shrinks and energy goes into appearances. It often shows up as fooling yourself before anyone else, so it is easy to believe you have everything ready and miss the corners that are still empty.
Laying out every tool and never picking one up also belongs here. If you keep postponing the start because you are still learning, the materials pile up but nothing gets made. At times like this, finishing something very small with what you already have clears the blockage better than piling up more skill.
Something to Try the Day This Card Appears
Today, pause learning anything new and pick one small task you can finish with what you already know. Something that fits within an hour is ideal. Once something that lived only in your head comes out into the world, you gain a yardstick for how big your next task should be.

A card read on its own means something slightly different from one placed beside other cards. If something is on your mind these days, pick four cards to read on, and if you are curious about your inborn nature, open a Saju reading as well.
