Behind the woman on the right stands a tree wrapped by a serpent, and behind the man on the left a tree bearing flaming fruit. Far off between them rises a mountain peak, and in the sky a great angel spreads both arms over the two. They do not face each other; each lifts their head to look upward.
Bodies wearing nothing show a state with nothing to hide. The union this card portrays is not about weighing and matching conditions; it happens only after everyone is seen as they are.
